A Community Centered Collective
Rooted ReEntry is a Community Centered Collective, in which relationships, trauma-informed healing, and the humanity of our Black, Indigenous and People of Color community members coming home from the inhumane conditions of incarceration is of utmost priority.
Our goal is to offer and provide the support and resources required to meet the humanity of Black, Indigenous and People of Color community members impacted by the criminal legal system via relationship building and community engagement.
We envision a world where our system-impacted community members’ humanity/home is rooted in community and not the experiences and trauma of incarceration.
We are a grassroots collective of BIPOC community organizers, cultural workers, and volunteers who are, respectively, formerly incarcerated, family members of incarcerated individuals, and/or invested in organizing efforts committed to dismantling a racialized prison industrial complex.
